Le switch D-Link est un switch Fast Ethernet qui permet à un petit groupe de travail de se connecter de manière flexible à des périphériques Ethernet et Fast Ethernet pour créer un réseau intégré. Ces ports détectent la vitesse du réseau et négocient automatiquement entre 10BASE T et 100BASE TX, ainsi qu'entre full et half duplex, ce qui permet d'obtenir la vitesse maximale possible pour chaque appareil connecté au réseau.
